MEDICAL GENEALOGY

In the Winter '86 issue of SKU I asked if there were any other people who had noticed a regular occurrence of hip problems in any of their lines. Lest I be thought totally crazy, I figured that I should give some support to my 'genetic genealogy' request. Thanks to Sande Skinner, I now have some references to articles on Medical Genealogy and Genetics that appeared in various publications. In the event you'd like to track them down and read them, they are:

  1. Medical Genealogy by Alice M. Hagen, Genealogical Helper, Jan-Feb 1986.
  2. How Helpful Are Medical Records In Your Family Tree Search? by Marilyn Fuller Delong, Genealogical Helper Jan-Feb 1986.
  3. Researchers Close In On Some Genetic Bases Of Antisocial Behavior by Jerry E. Bishop, Wall Street Journal, 12 Feb 1986.
  4. Scientists Are Learning How Genes Predispose Some to Heart Disease by Jerry E. Bishop, Wall Street Journal, 11 Feb 1986.
