THE DOMESDAY PROJECT

from Sussex Family Historian

The BBC is making a documentary series about British History, presented by Michael Wood, to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the Domesday Book in 1986.

We are very interested in locating families of today who can trace their ancestry back, continuously, to the Domesday Book, or beyond, and who have any information and/or documentation going back to medieval times.

We would be grateful if you could help us on this matter and perhaps inform your members. Anyone who would like to give assistance should write together with details, and a phone number if possible, to me at the address below.

(Too bad we haven't been able to get our Skinner lines back to then, but perhaps some of your allied lines have made it.)
