William was named after his father-- from John Henry Skinner
William Franklin was boarded out with the John Carver family after his
mother Priscilla Died. He was then six years old. When his father William
remarried he was brought home.
William died when he fell from a horse that he was riding around the farm
in Chehalis Washington. The fall caused severe spinal cord damage
resulting in his death. He was almost sixty one years old at the time. From
death certificate and newspaper info.
