Married Bernice Bell Vivian Mathewes, born in Illinois 19 March 1899.
They were married 17 March 1928. Taylor Mathewes and Alice Brown are
the parents of Bernice. She is rememberd as 5 feet 11 inches and slim.
Faye attended school grades 1-8 in Rome. He had spinal meningitis at
age 16 and had his appendix removed in 1910. During World War II,
1917-1918 service at Camp Custer he injured his back. Faye worked as
the train station agent at Onsted. From 1919-1920 he sold steel blinds
by Martin, had a milk route and farmed til 1946. Until retirement he
workd for Tecumseh Products from 1946-1960. Faye and Bernice lived
the rest of their lives in Fredrick, Michigan. Both Faye and Bernice ar
buried at North Rome Cemetery.
