E94.0801.02f, g Jennings, Marian (9/90) fgs 630 Saginew St, Vassar, MI 48768: Stella's mother died when her brother Ray was born and so Stella was raised by her grandparents, Robert and Martha (Rutherford) Collins and her aunts. Stella was very social. She belonged to and was very active in the Baptist church. Republican club, Eastern Star, and Women's Benefit Assn. She had a kidney removed because it was destroyed by a stone, later had surgery for cancer of the baldder and then for cancer of the entire pelvic region - from which she died a hard and lingering death. She also suffered from hypertension and arthritis. Stella had red hair and blue eyes. When young she was very thin but after the birth of Warren she gained weight and when I knew her she probably weighed about 200#. Was about 5'4".
