1890; m Book 9 p 131; machinist; Wesley Jennings was a farmer in MO.
He moved his family to Detroit when Melvin was little over a year old,
and then became a factory worker. He attened school only to the stage of
"fractions" but became a general foreman at Chrysler Corp in Detroit. He
was kind, friendly, helpful, full of jokes and very well liked. He was
about 5'8" tall and weighted 130-160#. He had two heart attacks and a
stroke but death was caused by a massive cerbral hemmorrhage and
subdural hematoma. He was taking an anticoagulant and fell on the ice
and told no one about it. He underwent surgery at Wm. Beaumont Hosp in
Royal Oak and died within hours as bleeding was so deep that it couldn't
be controlled. He had dark curly hair when young but became white and
then bald in later years. He was a Mason. Refs: birth, death & marraige
