!Š..Skinner, Todd (09/2001) Ebenezer had accompanied his father and family when they moved from Malden, Mass. to Colchester, Conn. and was a prominent man of that town. In 1729 removed to Colchester Connecticut then again, 1729 he moved to Preston Connecticut,where in one week, November 27 to December 3 1736, his four youngest children died of putrid sore throat, then so prevalent throughout the colonies. He again move his family , this time in 1739 to Bolton Connecticut. He was a blacksmith, and started a grist mill in Connecticut. Bolton, Conn., after may 1755, and before 1761 - (probably in Nov. 1755). He m. about 1702 Sarah Lord, b. E. Haddam, Conn., about 1683, dau. William & Sarah (Brooks) Lord. (Sarah Brooks' father had died and her mother remarried to Thomas Shailer, she also being known as Sarah Shailer.) Sarah (Lord) Skinner was living in Bolton, Conn., in 1761. There is no record of her death. Ebenezer had accompained his father and family when they removed from Malden, Mass., to Colchester, Conn., and for many years he was a prominent man in that town. In 1729 he was of Preston, Conn., - at one time he lived in Hebron, Conn., where, during one week, Nov. 27th to Dec. 3rd, 1736, his four youngest children died of putrid sore throat, then so prevalent throughout the colonies. The family went to Bolton, Conn., about 1739 and it is thought that Ebenezer died there, although there is no record of his death.
