From data in the Seattle Genealogy Library: Columbus Washington Skinner, also referred to as Charles, Cullum, Cullie, and Cullis, was born Feb. 20, 1869, in Chickasaw Co., Miss. After he moved to Corsicana, Texas, with his father, he was in the dairy business with his brother, Tom. Columbus Washington Skinner and Harriet (Hattie) Magdalene Becker were married 4 Jun 1891, according to the marriage records of Kaufman Co., Texas., The marriage took place in Lone Oak Community in that County, by Rev. D.T. Brown. This couple lived in many places but primarily in Corsicana. Their children were: Annie Beale, Waldo Emil, Franklin Eugene, and Dorothy Louise. Details regarding them and their descendants is shown later in a separate section. [SKU 11(4):64] Columbus Washington SKINNER married 2nd, Lena DAVIS, by whom he had twins who died in infancy. She also died. He married 3rd Mrs. Annie Cathalda Boyle LOWE. He was in the oil business throughout the Southwest. C.W. Skinner died April 8, 1939, in a hotel room in Wichita Falls, Texas. However, the county Clerk there has no record of his death. He is buried at Houston, Texas.
