No record of his birth appears there as birth records were not kept at that time. His mother was Harriet M. Becker, who was from the Becker Community, Kaufman Co., Texas. F.E. Skinner later lived in Kaufman Co., Texas, in the same community, and married Mabel Ozella Hamilton, daughter of John Baxter Hamilton and Mary Arantha (Iantha) Lynch Hamilton. They were married at the Becker Church on Oct. 15, 1913, by Rev. M.H. Read. Children were J.C. (Initials only) Eugene Elam, and Norma Jean. F.E. Skinner became a ³wildcat² oil contractor, and lived in many places, but his home was primarily Dallas, Texas. Other places where the family lived were: Mexia, Texas; Gonzales, Texas: Ranger, Texas; Camden, Ark.; and several places in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ranger, Tex., and of the Shrine Temple in Ft. Worth. He was also a 32° Mason. Methodist. Death was caused by a fractured skull, caused by a heavy piece of equipment which fell from the top of an oil derrick. The death certificate furnished by the State of Oklahoma showed the date of his death as July 2, 1928; however, it actually took place on a well being drilled by the Prince Bros. Drilling Co., near Ada, Okla, on July 1, 1928, at 11:30 P.M. At the time of his death, the family residence was in Dallas, Texas, and he is buried in the forest Lawn memorial Park, near Dallas, at Carrollton, Tex.
