!.....SKU 5(2):22 John Skinner's wife's name was Ann. The source for this is his will, printed in New Jersey Archives, vol. 30, pg 435, in which he names his wife Ann. There is no evidence at all as to what her maiden name was. The error that this John Skinner was married to Ann Wright, daughter of Robert Wright, comes directly from Monette, who looked back to page 878 of his own book, on which page he had two abstracted deeds from Robert Wright to his sons-in-law, John Moores and Richard Skinner, and he mixed up the first names in his genealogical conclusions, and said John Skinner was the son-in-law of Robert Wright, then added to that the fact that John Skinner's wife's name was Ann, and created a totally fictious person named Ann Wright. She never existed.
