Edwin Valedictorian. 1900 census, Cripple Creek, Teller, CO, lists occupation as preacher. Edwin was the enumerator of this census. Beautiful penmanship. 1910 census, Montrose, Montrose, CO, lists occupation as carpenter. The census was taken in the month of May, divorced in Sept. 1920 census, Los Angeles, CA, with Vere, Helen & Lydia. 1891-92, Matriculated at University of Denver, age 20. No permanent academic record for him as they were not kept at that time. The college does have his signature of attendance for that period. He was registered for one year and there is no indication of his having graduated. 1899 June marriage certificate & announcement, Cripple Creek, Teller, CO. I believe Edwin's cousin, Chas. E. Lucas, was his best man as he signed the marriage certificate. This signature matches the signature of letters on file Charles had written. 1910 Sept, Divorce papers, Montrose, CO. 1912 Oct, marriage Certificate, Mabel & George Patten. 1914 Oct, Child custody papers, Montrose, CO, Edwin won custody. 1949 March, Death certificate, Mabel Dennison Elliott Patten. 1961 Aug 9, Death certificate lists birth year as 1872, listed occupation as carpenter. Died of Carcinoma of Rectum, 89 years old. Funeral remembrance. 1972 May 11, Death certificate, Vere Elliott. Notes from Mary Elliott notes that Edwin Elliott lived in Howardsville, CO. She received post card from him announcing the arrival of "Miss Helen Elliott" post marked Dec 24, 1907 Howardsville, CO.
