I, Elizabeth Skinner of Bern, Albany Co., NY, widow and relict of Josiah Skinner, late of Bern, dec'd. I give my son Chester C. Skinner lands, etc., wherever situated, my personal property to persons to whom it would go according to law. Chester C. Skinner sole Executor: Witnesses: Henry Stone, Noblis B. Raymond, both of Rensselaerville. 1838 Feb. 19: Codicil. I give my daughter Phila Robertson, my best Marino shawl, the rest of my wearing apparel to my daughter and daughter's children, with bedding, beds, except my new rose coverlid, the coverlid and gold beads, I give to my granddaughter, Elizabeth Skinner, daughter of Joshua G. Skinner, my silver teaspoons; my husband's wearing apparel to be equally divided among my sons, what remains of my pension money I give to my son Chester C. Skinner. Witnesses: William Dobell, Emily Bryan. Proved November 16, 1840. Elizabeth Greene Skinner died August 28, 1840 leaving heirs, Josiah Skinner, residing Huron, Huron, Ohio; Phila Robinson, a daughter, wife of James P. Robinson, and Adeline M. Howell, residing Potter, Yates Co., NY, Joshua Greene Skinner, a son, and Elizabeth Swartout, residing Lodi, Seneca Co., NY, Esther Stilson, wife of I Lum Stilson, residing Pulteney, Steuben Co., NY, Daniel Greene Skinner, residing Bath, Steuben co., NY, Abigail H. Locke, wife of Moses Locke, residing Brockport, Monroe, NY, Emily Bryan and Margaret Bryan, residing Westerlo, Albany Co., NY, George Howell and Daniel Howell, residing Goshen, Indiania, Royal Howell, residing Mich., believed to be near Junio/Janio, PO, all of full age.
