I believe D.C. is buried at Lincoln KS and have written for verification but nothing yet. (Pictures and records in my file) I am privileged to know Gladys Skinner Bunting of Magnolia, IL. She is the daughter of Calvin Darius and had many of her fatheršs pictures and letters that help to verify this information. He even had a picture of Jane Everton but unfortunately none of Asahel. She is past ninety but clear of mind and a big help with this history. In addition I want to thank Larry Johnson of Des Moines who found some of the written material that were needed to verify John Osbornšs life there. Indian Scout. One of the Colorado Boys during the Civil War. Built the dug out the Thomas Skinners lived in the first few years in Kansas. Indian Scout and well respected citizen. There is much in the book on Lincoln Co about D.C. in my file. 1870 Federal census D.C. Skinner follows his brother T.E. he is listed as 42 M born Ohio with 1500 in land 1500 personal. In the 1880 Fed. Census he is listed as D. Calvin W M 53 with wife Amanda 43 the children are hers and theirs. See the family for further information. Marriage performed by J. R. Lawsoen L/P. E94.0417.10 SKU 11(3):52-55 Kane, Virgina L PO Box 380, Big Flats, NY 14814-0380: According to Gladys Skinner Bunting, Amanda smoked a pipe and lived for a time in Longmont, CO with her daughter and son-in-law William and Lydia Anne (DART) LIVING. Evelyn Ilene Lillard Belli says in a letter of 2 Apr 1992 that Amanda left KY with her father and several brothers and sisters in 1853. They lived in Miami co, KS until the death of her father in 1863. Amandašs first husband had a family before he married Amanda. A book by one of his daughters is in the library in Salt Lake City, UT. When the family came to Lincoln co they settled in Shady Bend. Letter in my file. Records of Mt. View Cem. in Longmont CO show Amanda was buried there but do not give a death date. The grave is unmarked but I found where they said it was in Sep of 1992.
