He entered the service in New Lebanon, NY, 1775, in Capt Baldwin's Co, 2nd Battalion, NY, State Troops. Served nearly the whole time (Cert W 16728, NY) From NY Society Collections: 1785 May 5: Joshaway Green mentions in his will, his wife Alice, (2nd), daughter Elizabeth Sciner. Josiah died November 27, 1835, his widow Elizabeth surviving and the following heirs at law, to wit.
