THE SAVAGE CORRECTION

from THE BOSTON EVENING TRANSCRIPT, Aug(?) 1904

"...Savage errs in giving Thomas (2) of Malden a second wife Mary GOULD. The Thomas SKINNER who married Mary GOULD, 22 (10) 1669 was Thomas SKINNER, the baker, of Boston; Thomas SKINNER of Malden and Colchester, had only one wife, Mary PRATT. (My authority for this is Mr. Wyman, the historian and genealogist, who made a personal survey of the records, and whose findings are set forth in a manuscript letter dated Charlestown, June 29, 1871, now in my possession.)"
