PHOTO ALBUM Edward Blake and Arthur Frederick Skinner (or vice versa), sons of George and Bessie Skinner. The fraternal twins were born "on the kitchen table on the coldest day of the year" in Guelph Ontario, 19 January 1882. A. F. died of pneumonia while in the Canadian military during The Great War (WWI). E. B. was Assistant Sales Manager at the Frederick Stearns and Company (pharmaceuticals) through the depression and for many years after. When asked why he refused promotion he said, "Sales Managers come and go as sales come and go, but the Assistant just goes on and on." |
