Keith, Dorothy GEDCOM (8/95) 625 S Orange Grove Bl #6, Pasadena, CA 91105 William Rogers, son of John Rodgers and Elizabeth Daffin of Halifax Co, NC, was bro of Francis Rodgers, gt-grf of Dorothy Rogers Keith (submitter). William and Francis Rodgers lived next door in Butler Co, Beat #9, AL until abt 1856, when Francis Rodgers and fam moved via Mobile, thence by flat boats on Miss Riv to Ashley Co, AR. William and descendants lived in Butler Co, AL; most of this fam is bur in Forrest Home Cem. Dr. Jerry Robbins history of Rogers Family (to be published soon) will supply additional details. Little Arrie Rhodes was adopted by Wm and Icy Sophrenia Rodgers at the close of the Civil War. Both Cousin Jerry Robbins and submitter worked independently tracing this child and her story will be told at a future date. She was prob born in SC; came from Monroe Co AL. It is probable that Little Arrie's f was killed in C W. Her mo marr 2, Mr Kilrpatrick; marr 3 Mr. Sims. Mother died in home fire. Arrie m. Bert Boutwell in Ala.
